Make sure to do a search as I remeber some conversation on thi in the past. We have gone there a couple times. It is beautiful. It is RUSTIC though. We got a room with the soaking tub overlooking the ocean. There was a room with a rock waterfall in it. Some of the rooms have decks, but they are more expensive. They probably could have been a little cleaner, but wood fireplaces make that hard sometimes.

Gee, I hope it's changed ALOT since I stayed there.......the setting is incredible which makes it all the more sad that it isn't "kept up" the way it should be. We still joke about the broken window in the bathroom that had obviously been that way for some time, but the really strange sight was the "abandoned" maid cart on the lower level. The whole place had the feeling that all the housekeepers and maintenance people had "abandoned ship", for that matter. Unfortunately, I have a number of friends who have similar tales of Timber Cove.......and also remember stories of arriving guests fleeing to the nearest nice lodging, Timberhill Ranch, in hopes of getting a room there once they actually checked in at Timber Cove! Let us know how your stay is--it would be SO nice to know they have spiffed up the place and made it worthy of its breathtaking location! As suggested by a previous poster, do a search as I know this topic has been brought up in the past!
