Tickets for Stomp

We're bringing the boys (teens) to NYC the last weekend in September, primarily to see Cal Ripken's last game against the Yankees. That Saturday night they guys would like to see Stomp. We could buy 2nd row seats today full price. Do you know if they would be available at the discount place the day of the show (off broadway now)? Also, anyone recommend we NOT see this and see another show? As the baseball game's sold out as were discount train tickets from DC, I'm wondering if this particular weekend might be busier than usual with less available discounted tickets. Thanks, Pam

Stomp is one of the few shows that I would not want seats close to the stage. It is quite loud and you need a little distance to get the full effect. I took my teenage daughter and a friend and we all loved it. I was very uncertain, but it was so unique it's hard not to enjoy it.

It's not ususual for Yankee day games to sell out on weekends. The fact that it'll be Ripkin's last game might have made it an even tougher ticket.
Chances are slim to non-existant that discounted tickets will be available for a Saturday night performance of Stomp.

As an alternate to Stomp, I enjoyed Blue Man Group more, and the teen's may agree. It's very funny, somewhat high-tech and interactive. Drawback is, it may be a tougher ticket than Stomp. I don't think you will get discount tickets to either.

I"ve seen Stomp from the third row and thought the seats were great... however (like the above poster), i think Blue Man Group is the best show in the city.

Here's the citysearch link to the tickets that were available on 6/29 (although the site will PROBABLY update to whatever day you click on it).
