Thousand Islands Area

Well, I'm finally down to planning the final leg of our trip and we plan to spend our last night in the Thousand Islands area. I have been looking at the Edgewood and the Pine Point Resorts. Any other recommendations in this area?? Also I would like any recommendations for casual dining at or near these resorts.

Thanks to everyone who helped with this trip (whether you knew it or not) - This board is an invaluble tool!

You could try the Riveredge Resort in Alexandria Bay?

About 7 years ago I did for a wedding and it was fine. It is on the water which is nice. There are not too many nice hotels in that area and, from what I hear, that is still the nicest. I have family that vacation in A-Bay all summer every year. I might make it up this summer but I am in Florida so it is far. It is beautiful in the summer when the weather cooperates. Boldt Castle is right there and is a nice place to visit. You can go out on tour boats and they will take you through the Thousand Islands.

Stay at the riveredge. All the resorts are very basic but Riveredge is on the water and has the best reputation. As far as food goes, eat at Cavalario's (sp). It's italian food and it's very good. If you aren't an Italian fan then if you take a walk around the area, which will take all of 15 mins, you will see various places to eat. There isn't much to do in the area, although it is beautiful. Be sure to visit Boldt Castle and do the boat tour that is offered.
