Things to do in Ann Arbor, Mich?
Traveling to Ann Arbor Michigan with my husband (age 29; I am 26) for a weeklong visit with his family/friends. I've heard this is supposed to be a great place to visit or live - any ideas on some fun things to do there?

I don't know about any specific "fun" things to do, but living here and seeing how the downtown area has grown to thrive with tourists has been great. There are plenty of great restaurants, shops and nightclubs to go to, lots of people eating and drinking at sidewalk tables. IT's a great place to stroll at night for a few hours.
Enjoy

Here's some stuff:
Lunch at Zingerman's (a MUST do)
If you like rice dishes, lunch at Coffee Break (or the original, Steve's Lunch) for Bee Bim Bab (a korean dish, done great at both places, VERY casual, personally i like coffee break best) (another MUST do)
Visit the stadium if you can get in
If you're child-like, visit the Hand's on Museum
Walk thru the Arboretum (aka- The Arb)
Sit in the Diag in the center of campus
See the modern day hippies working behind the counter at the Blue Front
Listen to a band at Rick's
Late nite drink specials at Good Time Charley's
Breakfast at Angelo's (personally i find over-rated, but others rave about it... they might be closed for 1 month in the summer but i forget which month)
Pick a topic that interests you and go research it at the library
Walk and look (and appreciate) the University's architecture
Go inside the Law Quad
Pitcher of frozen drinks at Dominicks
Play a round of golf on the University's course
Window shop "downtonw"
Drive and see some of the nice homes in town (off of Geddes)
If you're into books, visit a used bookstore in town (some great finds can be had)
Eat lunch at Blimpy Burger
Play video games at Pinball Pete's
Find out what night they show movies "On Top of the Park" which is a free movie shown on top of the Parking Garage (in front of the Bell Tower Hotel)
Lunch at Zingerman's (a MUST do)

'Thereuare' had some nice ideas, but as you can see, there really isn't all *that* much to do in Ann Arbor past eating in nice joints, shopping, hitting some bars and checking out U of M and the college scene. If I had to spend a week in AA, I would probably plan some day trips out of town...check out some other posts here in the Michigan section for other stuff to do in Southern Mich.
