We stayed at the Captain Lord Mansion about 8 years ago and it was wonderful. We stayed in a second floor room and it was beautifully furnished with a spacious bathroom. For cat lovers, there was a resident cat that you could bring in your bedroom if you wanted to. The breakfast was delicious also. I would highly recommed the Captain Lord mansion.

We have stayed at the Captain Lord three separate times. Do not know the others, but you will not be disappointed in the Lord. Great place. Good location. Has its own web site at www.captainlord.com. You can look at the rooms. We will be in Kennebunkport in Oct, had rooms for 4th time at the Lord, but had to ghange plans and could not get in. They gave us anther place to stay. Nice people. Go to Mabels in Kennebunkport.....George Bush's selection for lobster. Took Pres of France there

White Barn Inn!!! I can not say it enough! It is the most wonderful place I have EVER stayed. My husband & I spent our 10th anniversary there last June. They treat you like royalty. Everything is beautiful. Highly reccomend the restaurant. SUPERB! Very elegant!! It is just a lovely place all around. I would go back. We looked into Capt. Lord's but chose this instead.

You really should book forthwith. All of these place are wonderful and fill quickly year-round. The White Barn is absolutely spectacular. Agree with advice that you should definitely plan to dine there, even if you stay elsewhere.
