The Sky is falling in Denver!

Anyone else experience that storm Wednesday night all over the Denver area? Wonder what this winter will be like?!

It was unbelievable! I work in Evergreen but live in Roxborough Park and had to cross many, mini road-rivers on the way home. I must admit to loving this weather, though (rain, not floods). I don't miss our usual days in the nineties and hundreds this time of year!

Snowrooster: what was all that about?

I couldn't beleive how long it rained up here in Ft. Collins-fantastic!!! Coskier-I was under the assumption, for some reason, that you were a 'he' all this time. Now I know!

Coskier- I can't beleive you saw your husband on the news!

The weather was crazy, it's the most rain I have ever seen the whole time I've lived in Colorado! When are they ever going to fix that drainage problem on I-25 and Alameda!? My husband and I are building a home in the southeast part of town with a walkout basement. Behind our home is a 100 year floodplain but our house is up pretty high so we think it will be okay. We drove by last night and one road in our new neighborhood was a huge river, this trail behind our house is washed away in certain areas! Wondering when that last 100 year flood was....!!!!!!!!!!! Hope everyone else faired okay, I would hate to have to clean up after a flood.

P.S. Just ignore Snowrooster, she has nothing better to do with her time and she's taken this way too far.

Ani, I have made the same mistake about others. Not sure why when there is no Gender reference I assume it is a guy?

LenLeigh, I cannot remember rains like that either. If you did not flood then you are most likely OK.

I had no idea that it had snowed in Jax! I guess I will skip waiting for the next one and move somewhere that it might be counted on
I hope you all are having a sunny day today?

Just returned from Denver and I commented to our kids that I have NEVER seen Denver more green. You all have had a LOT of rain (thank heavens) this summer, I understand.
Coskier, I think you say you live in Park Hill--is that the area off of Quebec, sort of between Quebec and Colfax? Our son used to live on Olive while in DU Law school. Nice neighborhood. It was particularly nice to get to from Stapelton!!

Yep Gretchen, I live in Park Hill on Bellaire. I used to travel alot for work and loved the old airport. Probably the only person in the neighborhood that misses it.
