I can't believe you are getting the Seaport for that price! The Seaport is a lovely hotel and it is right down by the water. I have been trying to find reasonable rates in Boston for ages and couldn't even get that rate for mid-week in the middle of February! I'd jump on that! I'm not sure about the subway but the hotel has a shuttle that takes you to some of the larger office builings in te city and any one of those would be close to the subway.

The Seaport is a new hotel in an area that is currently undergoing a lot of development. It is a bit of a walk to a subway line. There are several seafood restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel that you could walk to but to see any major attractions you would have quite a walk.

The Seaport Hotel is an excellent facilty and a steal at $129! Very efficient, well trained staff. However, as a previous poster has stated, there isn't that much close by. Among the seafood restaurants nearby is the No Name Restaurant, which is big tourist draw and has often been recommended on the forum.

The Seaport Hotel is in a BAD location. The facility itself is great, and it may have a view of Boston Harbor, but your walk to anywhere will take you FOREVER. Not near the 'T'. Believe me, I live in Boston, and you don't want to stay here. Try to find lodging in the Back Bay or Government Center areas.

BTW - the No Name is not a place I'd recommend going to.

Yes, the hotel is in a rotten location, BUT if they have shuttles it's a great deal..your close to Quincy Market, the Italian North End. You would also be able to take a Whale Watch from the piers near by or a day trip to Provincetown.. Unfortunately right now it's in the middle of the "big dig"..No Name isn't what it used to be, but the chowder is good..Stay away from Pier Four...
