Thanksgiving dinner in Morris County NJ?
Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice restaurant in Morris County. We used to live there and visit often but nothing is coming to mind. My MIL has picked the restaurant the last couple of years and I thought maybe we would get some input from some knowledgeable folks on this board.
Any suggestions will be appreciated and I shall consult chowhound as well.

If you don't mind leaving Morris County, we had a nice dinner last year at the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge. The Inn has a buffet and the restaurant, The Grain House, has a sit down. The Inn is right off South 287 at exit 30B.
The Grain House is pretty, but with a large group we were seated in more of a banquet type room, while I would have preferred one of the smaller (and prettier) rooms. The food was quite good.
Would recommend making reservations.

HI,
We used to live there also; don't know if they are still good, but silver springs farm in Flanders, NJ, was excellent if you are looking for something outside of the traditional turkey dinner. Also, the restaurant in the Madison Hotel in Convent Station was very good. There was a turkey farm that served family style dinner called Lawson's in Chester.

Hi Budman...my IT guy (about to get fired) just converted my business e-mail from POP3 to Exchange Server. Not so good. Not amused.
Hopefully will be fixed tomorrow.
In the meantime if critical [email protected]
