Teton hiking recommendations?
Family of four, moderately fit, looking for recommendations for hikes in Teton that are 3-10 miles for a camping trip second week of June. Also, if our primary interest is hikes away from the crowds that give a variety of scenery, is there enough for a week, or would you advise an off-the-beaten-path hike in YNP or nearby? We’ve spent a lot of time in Yellowstone, so other than a drive up one day to wildlife watch near Hayden or Lamar we aren’t planning to focus on it.
Teton ranger on the phone assured me there would be plenty of first-come first-served tent sites in Coulter that week, so hoping that is the case.

Do you mean backpacking or camping? These are different. The issue with the Tetons is that there is small area for backpacking. YNP has much more. Contact the back country office. There are plenty of places to go once you get a few miles from the road. I have backpacked all over YNP and hiked all over TNP. Check out the nps.gov website for the parks. Look up the park newsletters with info on hikes. Look up the backcountry office on backpacks. The info is there, you just have to search it.
