grab a city guide for current exhibits and such. If you have been many times, you probably have SOME ideas of what to do and where to go. Or maybe you are going to be spending all the time at your shrink dealing with your obvious inabilities to make a reasoned decision. ARRRGG knuckeheads are out in force today!

Shelia, We were in Chicago at the end of July with our 17 year old son and his friend. The Titanic exhibit is showing at the Museum of Science and Industry. The boys enjoyed it and I am sure that your girls would. I was not all the hyped about going to it, but it turned out to be very, very interesting. Also, the Field Museum has a special exhibit on Pearls; however, we did not take the time, or spend the extra money to do this as the boys were not interested. But, it might be something your girls would enjoy. Give them plenty of time to shop, shop, shop..... Have a great time!!

Sheila: Planetarium or Shedd Aquarium for the 14 year old, walk on the Oak Street beach for the 17 year old, pizza and Navy Pier for both girls, Marshall Fields, Carsons, Filenes & Old Navy on State Street for everybody, tea at the Four Seasons for the girls, a cosmopolitan for you.

If you've never been to Ed Debevics 640 North Wells Street it's a must for visitors. The waiters attired is tight jeans and muscle shirts, and gum-smacking waitresses wearing poodle skirts and cardigans. Thats all part of the fun at this retro dive where the serving staff dances on the tabletops to tunes from Grease and other 1950s hits. The menu features classic burgers, French fries and shakes. When we live in Chicago we took visitors there of all ages many times and all loved it.

Another really fun place to take teenagers is Dick's Last Resort, this place is a blast. Humor would be PG at a minimum! So if your on the prudish side, disregard this advice.

I also think your kids would love The Blue Man Group. High energy.

Hope those help.
(Also, eat some Chicago Pizza, previous topics will tell you where.)

Blue Man Group is a MUST (they have a website where you can buy tix -- try www.bmg.com or www.bluemangroup.com).

Navy Pier and South Pier are both fun.
