Tahoe-

Going to Tahoe with my wife and seven yr. old daughter this winter (never been) and curious and looking for advice on the quality of snow sking (used to Colorado) and other outdoor activities. I believe our condo is on the North side (whatever that means)?

David,
Our family is visiting Lake Tahoe for the first time this winter also. I found good information and links to other info www.tahoefun.org. I also found that some of the rental agency web sites had some good links. You can also do a Tahoe mini-guide at Fodors. Go to the home page and click the mini-guide. Have fun.

David, here's a website for conditions at various ski resorts in the area:

Your condo is probably on the north shore of the lake. Nearby ski resorts include Squaw Valley which is great. Take a trip to other resorts including Heavenly Strawberry Field etc - there are plenty to choose from. Just like CO the snow can be dodgy around Xmas, b

I liked Kirkwood and Northstar. Agree with the above poster about snow in December. You might want to check the long range forcast on weather.com to see what it says. Have a great time!
