Tacoma hotel?

Can anyone recommend a nice, upscale hotel in the Tacoma area? My husband and I have one night away from the kids (we are south of Tacoma and time is limited). We will see a show at the Tacoma Dome and hope to find a nice, comfortable hotel that may offer us a little pampering. Thanks for your suggestions!

The Sheraton is nice. Priceline offers a rate of $153 for a room on the club floor with amenities. You could always bid on a 3 star in Tacoma to get a better rate as the Sheraton is the only 3 star they offer. But, just in case the $153 is certainly a good price for club amenities. You can go to Priceline and check reviews and pictures etc.

I've stayed at the Silver Cloud Inn many times. It's in Old Town Tacoma-right on Puget Sound in a very lovely area. Some rooms have fireplaces and beautiful views. It's always been very clean and has a nice little breakfast room with views over the water. I love staying there.

haydo, we stayed at Silver Cloud in Tacoma in May. Make sure you ask for a room in the very back (basically over the water). There are trains that run close to the hotel at all hours of the day and night so you'll be further away from them there. If you can't get one at the very end, then ask for an even numbered room. These rooms give you a view of the mountains and the great sunset!

There are three restaurants within walking distance of the hotel so the location is really good.

In all honesty though, I don't consider this hotel to be upscale. It was comfortable but defintely not upscale (IMO).
