Swimming Indian Shores/Indian Rocks FL beaches in May?

I read that the water is about 80 deg. by May. Do you guys who live there find that comfy to swim then? According to state reports, I see no sign of Red Tide so far this year. Fingers crossed ... Thanks ...

Oh yeah, it will be beautifully warm by then. And buy a beach umbrella at a local drugstore, it will increase your beach time by hours! I live in Treasure Island, a few towns south of Indian Shores, haven't seen Red Tide in two years (keeping my fingers crossed too!).

Have a great vacation!

grannie, it's short for "to the top" so that the thread doesn't get lost, stays in the first 50 (most active) threads, and has a better chance of being seen.

We were just there last week. My daughter and husband (and many northeners) were in swimming. It should be fine and you probably will have BEAUTIFUL weather!
