Anyone recommend any nice areas to hang out with an outdoor swimming pool in Coconut Grove, Miami - somewhere with nice landscaped gardens if poss

How about the pool at your hotel?

I am staying with a friend of the family - and she does not have a pool unfortuatly.

well unfortuatly for you, I don't think they have pools in Coconut grove nor Miami for that matter. I know, it is subtropical and all that but they don't have the brain power to dig holes that deep and when they do, they can't keep the water in them. With all this new fangled technology around one would think they could figure out how to make a swimming pool in Miami!
