Sunset Beach, NC Restaurants

We need your help and ideas: we're staying at Sunset Beach in July and need names of very good restaurants in the area (perhaps also in SC but not as far south as Myrtle Beach. Many, many thanks for your help. Joseph

To be honest, there aren't any "very good" restaurants nearby! Just over the pontoon bridge (the "land" side) there's an Italian restaurant, which is ok, and Crappy Oddwaters, which also is OK. HOWEVER, bring a throw net, catch some shrimp in the sound off a pier, and do your own! That's the charm of Sunset--one of my favorites.

I agree with posting above - not much to choose from; however, you could travel to Calabash and there are many seafood restaurants in that area - just get there early. Have fun.

Many thanks. Last year we did try one restaurant in Calabash - was okay but not anything special. We may be overlooking good ones - do you have any suggestions for good places there? Joseph

There's a place we enjoy in North Myrtle--before most of the congestion of MB--called Marker 350. It's in a marina at 4 Harbor Place, North MB. Phone: 249-3888. It fills up early, so reservations are a must!
