Suggestions for wedding in Naples area?
Hello,
Does anyone have any suggestions for wedding reception places in the Naples (Marco, Sanibel/Captiva) area?
We'd love a reception on the shore-maybe a restaurant or hotel ballroom with beach access. We will be a party of around 100, so some of the smaller places like the Pelican or Sanibel Inn cannot accomodate us.
Ritz Carlton looks and sounds spectacular, but may be out of our $$$ budget.
We were told to check out Casa Ybel in Sanibel, South Seas on Captiva, and Naples Beach Club.
Any suggestions? We are planning for fall of 2002.
Thanks so much for your help!

Hi Shel-There's a place in Naples called Celebration Gardens, the phone # is 941-774-0000, I would ask for references. Tthe Marriott at Marco should have banquet facilities or you might try the Marco Island Yacht Club and see if they rent out their facilities, their # is 941-394-0199. Good luck.

Check out the Naples Princess, it's a private yacht with room for around 150. The url: www.naplesprincesscruises.com

Cindy beat me to it. I've been on the Naples Princess for an anniversary party and it would be a great way to do the reception. As for other facilities, the Naples Beach Club Hotel would do a nice job for you after a wedding right on the beach if you wanted. They have one nice beachside room where they can set up for the reception on a large terrace and move indoors if weather dictates. Not sure how much cheaper than the Ritz it might be though.

South Seas on Captiva is wonderful and it would be so much fun for a large group. I'm sure pretty pricey but most anyplace in Naples or Marco will be very pricey too. Naples Beach Hotel has a new large reception area that would be nice, it's across the street from their beach hotel. The Registry is also great, also pricey. Good luck.
