Suggestions for walking tour of Central Park

Will be in NYC next month with our kids ages 11 and 15. Would like to spend some time walking through Central Park. Any suggestions for a route we could follow? Looking for about an hours walk (not including any stops to enjoy scenery, rest or eat). Thanks!

We were there last year. Basically there is one road to follow, but get a map and go to the petting zoo and then to the carousel, your kids will enjoy it. Also, when you enter the park there is a map printed. It is so beautiful in central park, you will all enjoy it.

Get a copy of "Barnes & Noble Complete Illustrated Map and Guidebook to Central Park." It will answer all your questions....and will be $15 well spent.

The Central Park Conservancy is a great organization and I believe it offers tours:

Yeah, I second that recommendation to check out the Central Park website. They offer a variety of interesting tours, and they're free. I took one with my mom last year and it was great way to see the Park and learn about its history.
