Stone Harbor NJ restaurants

Did anyone eat at Fish Tales this summer? I am going to SH with 8 women (watch out SH!!) and am planning a dinner out. Fish Tales would be great because we could walk but I haven't been in a few years. Other possibilities are Claude's in Wildwood or Kipperz in Avalon. Any thoughts? Thanks.

The season for the Jersey shore is over and several of the restaurants are closed for the season.

I went to Fish Tales in May. We were a group of 6, and they took very good care of us. The food was pretty good, and it the BYO policy is great for our group (of drunks!).

I volunteered to a friend that I was going to Ocean City this weekend and she said that I should go down to Fish Tales for dinner. Her husband's cousin's wife's brother is the chef (I couldn't resist that convoluted relationship!)I did not eat there, but she had this past summer and said it was very good.

We did go to Fish Tales and had a great time. The food was good (not exceptional, but very enjoyable) and the service wonderful. Town was quiet but all the stores were open. Two of my favorite restaurants, Green Cuisine and Donnas (for cheesesteaks) were closed but many other restaurants were still open. Saturday night we ate at Tortilla Flats in Avalon which, as always, was lots of fun. We brought our own wine to Fish Tales and our own tequilla and triple sec to add to the frozen margaritas at TF. The ladies had a great time! Thanks again for your help.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier.

Tortilla Flats is actually out of favor with me presently - I used to love them, but they've gone downhill.

We like the Sea Grill (Avalon) and its open year-round.

What's the new place on 83rd? (across from Bud's?) I've heard that's awesome, but it might be closed for the season now.

Cafe Loren is always a big favorite, too.

The Windrift for lunch off the beach is fun (rooftop deck), but they might also be closed for the season?

glad it was fun!
