STILL BORDER CROSSING DELAYS?

In regard to previous posts about delays at Border back into Seattle from Vancouver, are these still a problem? We will be in Seattle in July. Plan to cross to BC on a Thursday and return back to Seattle on a Sunday mid morning. Would we be wiser to take Amtrak to
avoid the border delays or do you recommend driving? Thanks for any input you can offer.

Cathy,
If you are planning to cross the CAN/AM border on either the 1st of July or the 4th of July weekends then there will be long lines at both border crossings, both ways.

Common sense tells me it is futile to say that there will - or will not - be border crossing delays three (3) months in the future.

I would bet that even 3 mo in advance that the return on Sun will have delays. Maybe not the Thur, but def the Sun

You can check out the US Customs web site to see current border crossing times -- this will give you an idea of what you might face.
