Staying in Wailea 2 week to go....need suggestions

Hi,
Staying at the FS and need some recommendations for breakfast and dinner.

Really don't want to eat dinner every night at the hotel (maybe Ferraro's) but don't want to travel up to Lahaina and then drive back after having a couple of drinks..:0)

We'll probably start out early a couple of days to do the road to hana and the crater so breakfast could be on the way..

Thanks

I leave for Maui tomorrow for 10 days and have been there 5 times. Have breakfast at "Longhi's" at the Shops of Wailea, it's excellent. Stayed at FS 2 years ago and Wolfgang Pucks upstairs is the best of the 3 restaurants there. Have dinner (Italian) at Sarento's on the Beach (right on the water) 5 minutes from your hotel. If you get up to Kapalua, Merriman's is good but very pricey (on the water). The best restaurant and also the most expensive restaurant is Mama's Fish House near the airport - wonderful views of windsurfers at lunch (windsurfing championships of the world are held there) or crashing waves later in the evening. I hope this helps.

Just a couple of miles north of Wailea is the town of Kihei. It has many places to eat. My fav is Sansei (excellent Asian and sushi).

Definitely check out Mulligan's Irish Pub/Restaurant (it's on a golf course). It is right over your hotel and has amazing views of the ocean and outdoor dining and sunset. It also has some good prices to offset those $200 dinners at other places. We stayed at the Fairmont right next to the Four Seasons and we loved that we found this place. http://www.mulligansontheblue.com/

You should try Nick's Fishmarket at the Fairmont Kea Lani though also.

Love Stella Blues in Kihei for breakfast. Kihei Cafe is also good. We stayed at the FS a couple of years ago and ate dinner there one time. Matteo's Pizza is good for dinner.
