Staying in Tahoe without a car

I've skied Vail, Aspen and Whistler. Hope to try Tahoe. I found shuttles from the Reno airport to Heavenly. We'd prefer to shuttle to town, ski and walk and dine and drink by walking around for 3 days and then shuttle to the airport. Is there enough to do in town near Heavenly? I stayed in Truckee years ago but we needed a car to get around. Thanks for your help!

The town near Heavenly is called South Lake Tahoe which is a much bigger/major town than Truckee with high rise hotels and casinos. You can ski down and take the gondola into the Marriott resort village which is right on the main strip and just a couple blocks away from the lake. You'll enjoy the most dramatic views of Lake Tahoe when you ski in Heavenly.
