Don't worry Melissa - I know where Cannon Beach is - According to the Travel Channel it is the 7 Best Beach in the US!! - So, I'm sure MOST people know where it is...
I've just been back - beautiful place...
However, I went during the winter months, and I'm told the rates can skyrocket in the summer - all according to demand and supply - it truly is a lovely place...
My advice would be to check out the internet -
http://www.cannon-beach.net/
and
www.cannonbeach.org
Check out places that you would be happy to stay (most of them have pictures of the rooms etc) and then you will have to go and negotiate...
Hopefully someone who has visited Cannon Beach in the summer and happens to look at your message may know of a cheap deal?
GOOD LUCK..

I agree with above reply. Hallmark can be a bit expensive but room rates vary with the view. Hallmark has a nice indoor pool kids can use if weather is misty and chilly, which will probably be the case in June. There is enough space around the pool for grown-ups to sit and hang out, if you don't want to swim. Plus there's a hot tub right next to the pool. Tolavana also has a pool, I believe, but I'm not sure it's as good. We have always stayed at Hallmark because our kids have enjoyed the pool. The beach is lovely even when it is cool and misty, by the way, with lots to do, including looking in the rocks for starfish, going on "funcycles" and exploring. Still, though, it is nice for kids to have a place to swim indoors.
