Staying at the Paris - Restaurant Recommendatations

I've been reading on the Fodor's Boards that the Paris buffet is great for b-fast & that Mon Ami Gabi is also a nice place.

No one has mentioned La Provencal at the Paris. Is it any good?

We will arrive in Vegas on Christmas Day (late afternoon) and I'd like to go someplace nice for dinner. We are staying at the Paris Hotel.

I was thinking of La Provencal or maybe Circo at the Bellagio.

We like northern Italian food, French food, etc. And we probably won't want to venture too far away from our hotel the first evening.

What are your best suggestions?

Actually I'd hit Mon Ami Gabi for lunch. They have a great Croque Monsieur.

Another recommendation for the Eiffel Tower restaurant. We enjoyed a magnificent lunch there.

For cheap, but really good, eats, head for the Victorian Room at Bill's for any meal.

We weren't too happy at Mon Ami Gabi. Very, very loud and passable food. Or, Olives - service reminded us of Howard Johnsons, menu did not appeal, and food was just okay. Nothing objectionable there, but nothing special either, except the prices.

Loved our dinners at Andre's Downtown and Bouchon. And had a wonderful late lunch/early dinner at Spago (out of desperation) - a surprise.

I like Il Fornaio at NYNY. Also at Paris, try their 24 hr. cafe for lunch or a late casual supper. The Creperie there is good too.
