Status of the Cherry Blossom at Tidal Basin

Hi Everyone

We are planning to be in DC tomorrow and Tuesday. I looked at the National Park Service Webcam. I am seeing green leaves only. I know the predicted peak bloom is around April 3 to 6. It stated that different species' peak bloom is different. Just want to get confirmation from the folks in DC.

Thank you for your help.

Heard the same thing on the Weather Channel this morning . Still looks a little greenish to me. So maybe more blooming closer to April 6 than April 3? Weather this week isn't going to be especially warm. Hope you visit anyway. Nice time of year to see the city.

Don’t worry; your dates are perfect to catch the best moment of the blossom at the National Mall. This has been considered to happen April the Fourth. And if you check the National Weather Gang Website –the official weather page for the District- you would see that the levels of pollen will increase considerably the week you are visiting. I would recommend enjoying all the outdoor activities that are sponsored by the National Cherry Blossom Festival and that are free. Check out also the activities and the flower exhibits at the National Gallery. And finally, this site will keep you updated about events and things to do. http://www.nationalcherryblossomfest...t/bloom-watch/

Enjoy.
