As far as which day at which museum, it really doesn't make that much difference. However, I strongly suggest that you get to the Met around its 9:30 opening time when it's less crowded and thus you'll have better access to the exhibits.

I am thinking of seeing FELA the night before I see MEMPHIS. Both would be mid-week. Is that too much...two in a row?
