Looking for resort lodging in the St. Augustine area for late March with husband and teenage son. Seeking a newer condo and exploring Palm Coast area. Is it too far from many activities and too off the beaten path for my teen? Searched the board and found Sawgrass & Amelia Island. Any ideas?

Thanks, Orlano Vic for a quick reply. As you can see from above there will be 3 of us and looking for a stay of one week. We're open to area and price. Would prefer to be within 20 miles of St. Augustine area. And seek lodging to suit teens varied interests however not golf. Did not want to be too specific since I can do that on my own searches. Also don't need to go off line so other Fordites can benefit.

St Aug is fine for teens. Sawgrass is beautiful, the Marriott, is that the one you are speaking of? Very nice. Amelia Island is not close at all, but beautiful. I think it would be boring for the teen though.
You will be driving a lot, up and down the highway though.
St Augustine has a beach resort, but we never stayed there, I think it is called the Beachfront.
I would stay in Ponte Vedra if I were you, that way you are near Jax beach for your son.

Check out Beachers Lodge <http://www.beacherslodge.com/>. They have one bedroom oceanfront condos (a third person can sleep on a hide-a-bed in the living room). Georgeous views and an excellent (quiet & sandy) beach. They are about 15 minutes from the historic area. Don't wait to make reservations as this is the height of spring break season not to mention Bike Week and Speed Weeks in Daytona Beach.

St. Augustine is amazing- and it's for everybody...Amelia Island is more natury, but lots of activities there as well (fishing, canoeing...)

Sydney12, you are a fraud! I don't say that to new Fodorites, but you are advertising for this property on multiple sites* and topping posts 4-5 years old. This particular location is hardly a resort. Pay for your ads like everyone else!
