Spinnaker, Sausalito (San Francisco) report
Once again, I want to thank EasyTraveler for taking me to this restaurant the first time.
We had one of the best dinners there yesterday on Mother's day. Vallet-parked the car, later got it back almost immediately.
Sat in the bar a little, waiting for the table - came a bit early worrying about the traffic. Easy to find a table in the bar area if you don't want to sit at the counter. Our maitais and kids' martinis felt strong, not watered down.
The views are gorgeous from each table. We saw the bay, Sausalito, Tiburon, San Francisco, and later the lights started to come on. The restaurant has its own lights below over the water, very nice!
The food was marvelous, even my picky Mr Again loved it! It was difficult to make a choice between 3 varieties of the same dish, and they have too many of them on the menu
They have fish, shellfish, meat, chicken, and what not!
My pick for dessert (we skipped appetizers) was the best: 3-layered chocolate mousse: white, milk, dark. I had to watch for others digging into my plate
The service was the best ever. Not annoying, nothing like how are we doing, the waiter was there when needed, we were not rushed, offered all we'd want to hear.
The dishes were, I think, inexpensive for what was offered and how well it was cooked. $20 an entree on average. The older son picked up the tab, so didn't see the total.
And the unexpected surprise came at the end of our dinner. Every lady (and at other tables, too) received a rose in honor of Mother's day!

This was the first place I had dinner at when arriving in SF at the tender age of 19. I remember loving every second of the food, ambiance, and view. I returned home from that vacation, began saving up and moved to SF 5 months later. What a great first impression that place made on me.
