Spa resort near Dallas?
As a belated Bar Mitzvah present to a nephew, I'm taking him (and maybe some other relatives) from Seattle to Dallas to go to the opening series of the baseball season - Mariners v. Rangers, right at the first of April.
My wife, meantime, wants to go to a spa/resort sort of place - cucumbers on the eyes, daily scolding looks from overly fit blonde creatures.. the works. She's been looking at places in Arizona or Baja and their ilk, but I was wondering if there's a similar place convenient enough to DFW that she could fly with us guys, go off to her healthy place while we go off to... well, you know... and then we could come home together.
My knowledge of the Dallas/Ft Worth area is limited to a bazillion passes through the airport, but that's it. All suggestions welcome and gratefully received.

there's the fantastic Lake Austin Spa in Austin Texas. More relaxed, casual, celebrate yourself than germanic women scolding you for not taking care of your skin.
The Cooper Clinic in Dallas proper may have a spa associated with it. It does have a hotel, but it may be more let's see how fit you are and get back into shape than spa. Dont' know.
There may be a Golden Door spa in Dallas proper as well. which may be exactly the ticket for scolding germanic women.
And don't rule out staying at the Crescent court and enjoying their spa there, and then she could shop to her hearts content in Dallas.
On second thought, maybe you want her to be confined to a spa resort like Lake Austin spa.

There is a Four Seasons in Irving with a wonderful spa. I haven't stayed at the hotel but on the website the pool area looks beautiful too.
There is also the Bliss Spa at the W hotel if you'd like to be somewhere with more shopping/dining options nearby.
The Crescent Hotel and Spa is highly rated as well, but as my office is in the Crescent office building next door, it never seems like a getaway to me.

Well, I hate making an idiot of myself on a public forum, but I mis-read the baseball schedule. It turns out the Ms and Rangers are opening the season here in Seattle, not in Texas. Doh.
She's back on track for a place in Baja, but I'll file the info for later. Thanks for all the help.
