We are going the last weekend in April - Has anyone stayed the new Ritz Carlton? What about the National Hotel? The Delano and the Shore Club are booked, but we are looking for a great hotel in that immediate area - Suggestions???

Another poster, GoTravel, has reported that her (I'm pretty sure Go's a "she") sister stayed at the R-C and was over the moon-- spectacular place. If you can get a good rate, I'd put it at the top of your list.

The National is a gorgeous, historic property (height of Deco-era glamour) and would be a great choice as well. If you want another look at it, check out the Whitney Houston/Faith Evans/Kelly Price video "Heartbreak Hotel"-- it was shot there and looks fantastic.

Syddie, my sister hasn't stayed at the Ritz-Carlton and One Lincoln Road in South Beach (she lives in South Beach) but attended a cocktail party there and told me it is beautiful. If they didn't live near there, they would stay at the hotel.

No you are not putting words in my mouth. I'm pretty sure I wrote in some reply that my sis said the new Ritz-Carlton was over the moon because I'm pretty sure verbatim that is what she said!

We were hoping to get down for the boat show but everything is sold out and sis has a full house.

I'm so jealous you're going to South Beach. I went with 8 other girls last year for Easter weekend for my bachelorette party, and we stayed at Roney Palace. It was amazing! Apartment style rooms, right on the beach, lots of amenities, right in the middle of everything! We walked to the shopping area. Anyway, have fun, I know we did!
