Sonoma (or maybe Napa) hotel with two-bedroom suites?

Does anyone know what hotels / inns / B&Bs in the Sonoma or Napa regions (preferably Sonoma County, maybe around Healdsburg) offer suites that have two separate bedrooms? Most of the "suites" I find online are really one bedroom plus a living room. My father and I need beds in rooms that are separate from each other, and ideally from the living room.

So far all I've found (through searching this board) is the Silverado Resort in Napa Valley (www.silveradoresort.com). That looks nice, but I think we'd actually prefer someplace less formal.

I've also looked as recommended at vacation-rental cottages, but I think we'd prefer an actual staffed hotel environment.

Comment: last year we stayed at the Carmel Country Inn. I don't recall having much trouble finding a two-bedroom suite down there, so this problem has come as a surprise!

Forgot to describe my price range. It's flexible. The Silverado Resort, at $270 for a two-bedroom suite, is a bit high. I'd prefer around $200, if possible.

A 2 bedroom hotel suite at $200 will be very hard to find in the Wine Country. That Silverado price is probably pretty good. A couple of new hotels in Napa offer two bedroom suites - Vino Bello Resort and the Westin Verasa but these rooms will be pretty expensive I would think.

Your best bet would be to find a B&B that offers a separate cottage or two bedroom suite like you found in Carmel last year. You might try calling 1-800-GoB&B instead of searching the web.

tahl, I recently stayed at the Hyatt in Santa Rosa (Sonoma). I don't know whether they have two bedroom suites. But they routinely seem to have hotel rooms at rates well below $100 on priceline. When my wife and I stayed there it was $57 per night, and that was during the crush in October. The area around the hotel is just ok, I'd say, but Santa Rosa's location in Sonoma is very central, and access to northern Napa is good via a couple of routes that go over the mountains.

Another possibility is looking for condos or houses on vrbo.com or homeaway.com.

FWIW-the area around the Hyatt in Santa Rosa is pretty great!!
(There is also a Marriott Courtyard
across the street.)
You are 1 block from Railroad Square with lots of dining and shops.
smetz, come back and I'll take you on a tour

Hi razzle - I didn't mean to disparage the area at all! I guess my choice of words was not very good. But I certainly did like Railroad Square, though my wife and I didn't get a chance to try Syrah, which we heard was good.

It sounds like you are from the area - one place we really liked in Santa Rosa was Willi's Wine Bar on Old Redwood Hwy - great food!

I know the owners of Syrah, and I haven't been there either! (But I know a lot of people who have and agree that it's very good).
