Oh I have to second the vote for the dairy at the U. of Wisconsin -- can't remember the name of it at the moment but years ago I sent several weeks at UW Hospital while my husband was in a coma. LET ME TELL YOU that ice cream was a big part of what got me through it!!!

Using Kauai and Ice cream in the same sentence(my favorite things),,,,how could you?....now I'll never make it through the day...(as I look out on the mounds of snow)

On a little side street in Vienna in the Pedestrian zone. I don't recall the name but I could certainly find it.

Happy to give you a Kauai moment!
Always wakes me up with a smile when someone has a sunny story on here.

I agree with Deitch's in Findlay, OH. Also, Handel's, a Youngstown area ice cream stand, and Graeter's in Columbus.

Michigan State University dairy on a sunny fall day, an Italian ice cream shop in New Orleans with all sorts of colorful creams and whipped creams, the ice cream my family used to make from fresh peaches from the trees and pure whipping cream and an egg custard we made ourselves.

My husband eho is an ice cream afficionado would drive out of his way for the cherry vanilla ice cream at Michelle's in downtown Colorado Springs..all their stuff is good..they are a chocolate store.

Oh, I think Graeter's is in Cincinnati, not Columbus.

I haven't seen a response from Michigan yet so here goes:

1. Oink's - New Buffalo. Right on Lake Michigan.

2. The Hayloft - Decatur. Right in the middle of nowhere! But it's good.

Orange & Scarlett's Cafe in Atlanta midtown...

Always fresh, always homemade, always changing flavors... Flavors are named after great southern places and faces...

also launched movies like Blue Crush and Power Puff girls with thier own personal ice cream flavors...

OR get icecream in a savory crepe... yummm

also homemade

In midtown : 2 blocks north of the fox theatre, between 5th and 6th and directly behind the 805 Peachtree Street building, on juniper...

On Piedmont Park, 2 blockes north of 10th street (next to willys) on Piedmont Ave..

I live in San Diego now, but definately miss Graeter's Ice Cream in Cincinnati! The chocolate chip and raspberry chcocolate chip are amazing! You can get some at Montogomery Inn for dessert and pints at Kroger's too!

Boo Hoo, I won't be back there until Christmas :0
