Hey all fodorites! I wanted to get some input on recommendations where to stay in washington state for a short visit I am making July 19 - 22.
I have been to seattle several times for business and mostly stay in Bellevue for Microsoft at Redmond.
I have done the EMP, Pikes Place and the fish market.
I will be in seattle Thur afternoon and leaving sunday morning. Should I stay in downtown seattle or get a hotel in bellevue to do some sight seeing. I will have a car so anything within a short drive is reachable.
I was planning on seeing the space needle and maybe having a late lunch upon arrival then I hear taking the ferry over to brisbane is a great trip and I would love to take a cruise around lake washington.
Where is going to be a better hotel stay, downtown or bellevue? I will plan on trying to bid in priceline and have seen 4* hotels in bellueve going for $90/night and the Westin downtown for $130/night.
Any suggestions on other activities or attractions are hightly welcome.
Thanks

OK - I have a question -- What on EARTH does your title have to do w/ anything??
You want to know about 3 days in WA/Seattle so that is what your title should say. FYI - all threads are lumped together under "United States" so w/o opening your thread, no one will know what you want

I'd try for a downtown hotel. I'd explore Pioneer Square historic district, Chinatown for lunch, go up the Smith Tower for the view.
Bainbridge is the name you mean for the ferry ride. It's quick and a fabulous view of the Seattle skyline from the water.
Check out Argosy for cruises on Lake Washington, the Puget Sound, maybe Lake Union (not sure about that last one).
