Siesta Key with 8 and 5 year old - Looking for ideas

I am looking for ideas of fun/adventurous things to do in Siesta Key with my 8 and 5 year old boys. We are staying at Siesta Dunes on Crescent Beach so we will definitely try snorkeling. I also plan to take them to the aquarium and do a pirate cruise with them. Any other "can't miss" suggestions with young kids? Would also love any great/fun outdoor restaurant recommendations! (we are vaccinated but don't want to eat inside with our kids who aren't).

Kayaking around the mangroves in the bay was really great. We used Siesta Key Bike & Kayak.

How about a fishing trip? Flying Fish Fleet - Chartered Fishing Trips by The Flying Fish Fleet Five-year-old might be a tad young, even for the 4 1/2 hr trip though.

or Myakka River State Park https://www.floridastateparks.org/pa...ver-state-park Airboat ride, trolley tour, hiking trails, canoe rentals. One of my favorite places.

Thanks to the both of you. These are really fun suggestions and will definitely plan for the kayaking and visiting the state park! Yeah, agreed...the fishing tour sounds awesome but we'll save that for when the youngest one is older.

The Ringling Museum is wonderful as are the grounds.. There is a circus museum with a huge scale model of the circus. It takes up a entire building and was made by one man. Entry is free on Monday.
