Shreveport Hotels ???

I am headed to Shreveport on May 9th for the airshow at Barksdale AFB.
I am having trouble deciding on a decent hotel property along the lines of a La Quinta or Residence Inn.
Can anyone recommend a property. I would prefer a hotel less than 2 years old.
MUST be in a decent area.
Thanks so much!

Hmmm... maybe no one in S'port has the internet (just joking). Ok, I booked the La Quinta off Pines road because it is only a few years old.
Any opinions about this hotel anyone?

I've stayed at that LaQuinta several times and have always been pleased. It's one of the nicer chain hotels in the area. I definitely recommend the Shreveport one over the Bossier City one.

I'm in Shreveport and, naturally, I haven't ever stayed in any Shreveport hotels but I'll see how I can help. I know there is a relatively new Marriott Courtyard right off I-20 in Shreveport, in an area with some other new hotels. Also, I'm thinking of a couple of relatively new hotels(within 5 years, I think) in Bossier right off I-20 at the Airline Drive exit, which would be closer to Barksdale for you. I'll see if I can do a search and figure out what the names of these hotels are. I know they are "interior corridor" hotels, with about 4-6 floors..

Another one out there near the Marriott Courtyard is Jameson Inn==it's very new, also. I'm still trying to figure out the names of these hotels off Airline (Airline Drive exit, turn right, then turn right again). I don't drive by them often so I can't remember the names...that Residence Inn in Bossier has been there a long time.
