But...but...you said you are a conservationist, remember? Paper maps=trees. GPS...easy, easy.
Have a great trip, Mwessel. Did he buy a Garmin? We really enjoy our Garmin. It's much easier than a built-in GPS.

GPS as a standalone device is pretty much passe. If you haven't gotten a new cell phone in a while, consider buying one that has GPS capability. All phones will soon have it. You don't need to pay extra for GPS service, just basic data, which will let you use Google Maps which accesses GPS. It works great (I use it on a Blackberry Curve), even here in Hawaii.
