Shops in Orlando airport?

We are taking a Disney cruise this spring, flying into Orlando with Disney transfers to the ship. I now hear that you cannot board or pack food and beverages when flying. If this is true, is there any shops in the Orlando airport that sells beer & wine?

You CAN bring food and beverages aboard planes, but only in paper, styrofoam or plastic--no glass or metal cans. See the rules posted at www.tsa.gov. I'm not sure I understand your question, though--do you want to bring things on the plane with you, or buy them when you arrive? As I recall, lots of restaurants in the Orlando airport sell beer and wine to drink on the premises, but there aren't any shops that sell it to go.

I would like to bring some bottles of wine along on the cruise, rather than paying top dollar to purchase them on the ship. From what I understand, you can't bring bottles on flights anymore.
So, the only opportunity I see is purchasing them in the airport when we land.

OK, now I get it! If I were you, I would carefully read the info at tsa.gov--you may be able to bring the wine in carry-ons if it's sealed, which of course it will be. I would also contact your airline and ask if you can check the wine, and if so, what packaging they suggest. I've seen people returning from CA wine country with bottles packed in special carriers, both as carry-ons and as checked baggage. I have flown into Orlando many, many times, but have not seen any wine shops or liquor stores in the airport.

Faye, here is the web site for the Orlando Airport:
http://www.orlandoairports.net:/goaa/main.htm
It seems to list security tips, and may also have a list of shops, or perhaps you could e-mail and ask.
Good luck!
