SFO to ABQ - Possibilities?

I'm trying to find RT flights from SF to Albuquerque for next fall. Kayak shows one non-stop flight on United. The flights that have one stop lengthen what should be a 2 1/2 hour non-stop trip to 5 or more hours.

Any suggestions?

Check Southwest.com - Southwest is not in Kayak's database. They have two daily non-stop flights between OAK and ABQ if OAK is a possible departure airport. Their schedule doesn't allow you to book flights beyond August 2009 yet, however.

Thanks Andrew. Someone told me about Southwest and I was surprised to see that it only goes through August. Do you have any idea when November is on sale? It's for Thanksgiving week which will make it difficult.

Sign up for Southwest's "Ding" (it installs on your computer) and you get notification of daily sales and messages such as "you can now purchase air travel through (next three months)." They seem to extend it out about three months at a time, so they may add Aug, Sep, Oct next before adding November and December. So it may be quite a few months yet until you can purchase a Southwest ticket for Thanksgiving weekend.

Southwest is a different kind of airline. One reason they don't publish their schedules a year in advance is that that allows them to make adjustments to their schedule based on anticipated demand.

CPG, Southwest sells only several months at a time, do what Andrew said, sign up, but also check the website, and snatch the cheapest tix as soon as they appear.
