Hi easytraveler! Hmmmmmm, that's a very nice offer. Are you picking up Melissa at SJC or SFO? If you could email me at [email protected], we can discuss further.

I'm interested in the pig's knuckles. Anyone else? I'll pre order them if anyone else will eat them with me!
trippin--easytraveler is picking me up at SFO. I will be in San Francisco through Monday, May 28 (I leave at 5:15 PM). On Saturday, the 26th, I have an excursion to wine country with some Hawaii friends. Not sure what the plans are for the rest of the weekend--except running errands for snake bile, fo chong, etc.

LOL Melissa. I am going to check back with easytravel, as I may be able to get a few hours off Wed. afternoon (she would pick me up before she picks you up). I'm not sure if that will work out since I'm the newbie at this job, but I will give it a try.

The pig's knuckle's come in two varieties (both have to be preordered)
a) Salt & Pepper Pig Knuckle
b)Pig Knuckle with Brown Sauce (which is the standard "red roasted" Shanghai variety - i.e., stewed in a soy sauce mixture for hours).
The one that Patricia Untermann, food reviewer for the Examiner, tasted was the first one.
Both are $18.95.
There are also a couple of fish (carp) dishes which have to be pre ordered.
Remember that Faina doesn't eat anything associated with that intelligent mammal, the pig. However, I will eat just about anything but chicken feet, duck feet, blood dishes of any kind (no matter how nourishing), and a bunch of other "exotic" delights. So, I'll be happy to share with you, Melissa, as will Shanghainese in most likelihood. Can't speak for the others who will be joining us, so maybe we should hide away at one corner of the table.
Have car, will travel.
Will bring my slightly larger car that can seat five, as we have to pick up Faina and Shanghainese.
Oh, boy! Is this going to be FUN!

gt; I may be too chicken to eat the feet, but I'll have to see what else is on the menu!
