Sequoia National Park

My wife and I are visiting LA, San Diego, and San Francisco. We also are passing through Sequoia National Park. Any hotel or lodge suggestions near Lodgepole or Grant Grove?

Just returned from Seq.

7 to 8 inches of snow on ground in Lodgepole. Lodge at Lodgepole is OK.

I would stay in Yosemite and drive down to Kings Canyon/Seq for the day.

Thanks, B

Thanks bmiller! I hadn't really thought about that, but it makes sense. Thanks again!

For years I had dreamed of seeing Sequoia. We finally took our California trip which included LA, SF, Yosemite and, yes...Sequoia. If I had it to do over again, I would spend more time in the other 3 places and skip Sequoia. You can get a good feel for the majesty of these trees in the forests within Yosemite. Just my humble opinion.

Polly, where were you? Yes there are lots of trees in both national parks, but only Sequoia has the Giant Sequoias. They are kind of hard to miss and are nothing like the pines in Yosemite.
