I plan on visiting Yosemite in September,
Can anyone tell what to expect at that time of the year. Appreciate any advice. Thanks

It should be great weather, no rain, waterfalls dry except for the trickle in the very biggest, and most of the tourists gone. Only better time in my opinion is May and very early June since the falls are running. But, Yosemite is spectacular no matter when you visit.

P.S. If you want to stay within the park, make your reservations now! You can always cancel up to 3 days prior for a full refund, but it's sad to be locked out if that's where you want to stay.

I was in Yosemite this September. Stayed at the Lodge and would defnitely recommend it. It's really great to stay in the park. The weather was perfect, but you needed a jacket in the early morning and evening. It got quite cool but shorts and t-shirts during the day. It was one of the most spectacular places I have ever been. Take plenty of film for your camera!

I was there for 4 days and found that a perfect length of time.

i got back from yosemite on oct. 16 and the weather was fantastic. clear skies, warm days, cool nights. there were actually a good amount of travelers, it made me wonder how much more crowded the park is in the summer! yosemite falls was completely dry, mirror lake was a meadow. the only waterfalls with any water were nevada and vernal.
try to stay in the park, otherwise it's at least an hour drive into the valley everyday!
