Senior Summer School??

Has anyone ever done anything with this group? The idea interests me but want some opinions from those who have been there. So far they have failed to reply to my emailed questions.

My first reaction to your post was that you were talking about Elderhostel programs. If you don't get any replies about Senior Summer School, you might look into Elderhostel. I've heard a lot of good reports about it. A friend has been on several.
If I'm completely off base about what you are looking for, my apologies.

Dfrostnh, I agree with you. I know people who'd been to as many as 40 EHs. I've been to only one so far, and loved it! But I'm surprised Judith did not get answers... my e-mails were answered the next day.

Judith, when you open the Elderhostel website, on the right there is a forum similar to Fodor's, you can register and post your questions there.

Just for the record, I was actually talking about an organization called Senior Summer School as in seniorsummerschool.com. I have also heard of Elderhostel and think I will look more closely at that.

Judith, thank you, learned something new!

I opened that website, and I think I like Elderhostel more, they have more variety, more travel-related, even traditional programs have field trips.

The summer school offers classes, and immediately says they are not mandatory. This makes me go: hmmm....
