Seneca falls lodging?

Hi -Does anyone know of a decent place to stay in or near Seneca Falls? We are headed there next weekend. Don't need anything fancy, but must be clean and comfortable.

Should have mentioned, that's Seneca New York State. We need reasonable driving distance from the Women's Rights Historic Park.

Eek - I can't think of anything in Seneca Falls (hopefully a local will chime in), but you might look into nearby Auburn or Geneva, which are both bigger towns.

I think Auburn has a Days Inn and a Super Eight. Geneva has a newish Ramada Inn (on the lake, very pretty). I think there is also a Holiday Inn in Waterloo.

Thanks THF - I have never been to the finger lakes - I'll check to see how far, and where, these towns are.

As far as right IN Seneca Falls you will probably find B&B's but not a chain-type hotel.

Geneva would be more scenic than Auburn.

Ok, I didn't want to assume you hadn't ever been...but here's some more detail. Geneva is definitely more scenic than Auburn (G. has a beautiful college), but if you truly want scenic that close to Seneca Falls, make your way to Skaneateles - the lake is beautiful. There are several good restaurants, and Doug's Fish Fry is a relatively inexpensive "dive" that is fun. Or, if you're in Geneva and want Italian, look up Uncle Joe's Restaurant. Yummy. Want to dine someplace fancy? Try Geneva on the Lake or Belhurst. Otherwise Geneva or Auburn will have fast-food/chain places.

Enjoy! You're visiting the FL at my favorite time of the year...we were just up there last week. =)

There is a Microtel in Seneca Falls and a Holiday Inn in Waterloo. I would agree that Geneva is a little bigger and more options, yet very close. There is a Ramada Inn and Hampton Inn there and lots of Mom and Pop motels and B&B around the area. Definately try to get reservation asap. Have fun!
