Sedona - What things to do

My husband and I will be staying at the Los Abrigados Resort at the end of October. Neither of us are particularly active physicially, any suggestions on non-rigorous activities?

Assuming you'll have a car, drive to Montezuma's Castle. It's a short, level walk in from the parking lot and well worth a visit.

You can also drive up to that church with the big cross on the front (forgot the name). I don't care for the church but the view from there is nice.

Or you could just tie on a few spare belts of Margaritas and sleep through your vacation: don't laugh, it's shockingly relaxing.

You could drink Margaritas anywhere. So suggest you phone 1-800-288-7336 and ask the Sedona Chamber of Commerce to send you a free copy of "Experience Sedona," a 70-some page booklet of ideas on what to do, places to see, how to enjoy. Or go to their web site, sedonachamber.com and study up.

You could rent a car and day trip to Grand Canyon. Little bit of driving, but can be done. There's a great shopping center near where Oak Creek and the "Y" are, can't remember the name, set up like a spanish village. Good shopping, lots of Restaurants, etc.
Oh yeah, you can drive up by the airport and sit in the Vortex thing.(well I don't remember what they called it.)
There are plenty of driving intineraries out in the Red rock country. Sedona was a lot of fun, even for the not so active.

Pay attention to your dreams in Sedona. I had the strangest most powerful dreams in my life the week I was there and I have heard this from others who have gone there before or since. Especially if you spend any time in those vortex places like the one someone above mentions.
