Sedona Sunset/Sunrise
Hi all,
I'm going to be in Sedona in September for just one night (ACK!) and want to make the most of the little time I have. I'll have at least a full day + probably another half day or so.
I want to do something for the sunset and sunrise.
Are there any jeep tours that one would recommend SPECIFICALLY for sunset views? Or should we just go to viewpoint or take a hike somewhere?
And what about sunrise? Any hikes or viewpoints that anyone recommends?
Thanks everyone!

The Crescent Moon picnic area is by far the better choice over the top of the airport road.
I went to both on consecutive evenings.
After entering the picnic area ask where the Creek is located. Stay on the same side of the Creek and find the spot where you, the Creek and Cathedral Rock are all in line.
Give yourself about an hour before sunset.
As the sun gets lower Cathedral Rock begins to glow. The reflection in the water is amazing. You should have about a half hour of this.

Select the 2007 trip to Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon & Sedona.
There are many from this view but the airport view didn't even make it to my web site.

Thanks. Great trip.
For hikes around Sedona I would select some combination or all of the Boynton Canyon Vista (not the full Boynton Canyon), Broken Arrow and something near Bell Rock.
I think these are the most scenic, fairly easy hikes.

The Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, Spaceship Rock loop was a nice, easy, scenic walk.
