A friend of mine lived in Sedona for4-5 years and swears Dec.& Jan.
weather was "usually" great for visiting. Of course, he had lived in the mid-west for a long time, so maybe his frame of reference for "good" weather was different than most.
I do know it get "chilly" at night.
I checked www.weather.com for weather history but it used Flagstaff for its averages. I don't know how much difference there would be in these two areas???
Maybe another poster can comment..

The last poster is right, the weather is "usually" great. YOu could get a freak snow storm, but it will usually warm right up, and have never seen the snow stay on the ground for more than a couple of hours. Another nice side benefit is that is the slow season there, so less crowded, and you can get good deals.

Definitely coat weather but, compared to Flagstaff, Sedona is high desert country (much lower elevation) and considerably warmer even though not many miles away. If the sun is shining, you'll be able to shuck the coats. Beautiful country year round!
