I suppose it is too late to change hotels, and I suppose the Edgewater is okay; however it is one of the oldest hotels in that part of the city, and I have been told that it is getting pretty tired. However, they may have spruced it up. However, it is NOT Seattle. The good news is, that it is in a good part of the city, pretty central, to see the downtown area, and the waterfront. One point I wanted to add--we seldom need air conditioning here. Today it is a balmy 69 degrees. We don't have it, and seldom turn it on in the car...no one I know has it and they don't put it routinely in the homes here because it simply is not required. We have about 3 hot days a year, usually together, and that's it. (we had them already for this year). Hope you have a wonderful visit.

I've just completed the last internet purchase for our trip: I was able to get two (2) tix to Friday's 8:00pm Cirque du Soleil.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. I've learned a lot, I'm going to take a printout and fill-in-the blanks of our "itinerary" this weekend.

Thanks, all. Go Bo Sox! Go Mariners! Can't wait to see Safeco Field.

Thanks again.

Maggie, Seattle is great fun. Wander thru Pike Market. Have breakfast upstairs. Take the ferry to Victoria and wander thru the Gardens. You should be able to do this easily and get to the ballgame. Wild Ginger is a wonderful restaurant. The best sea bass ever. jan

For whatever it is worth, a day trip via the ferry to Victoria and back in one day is not very possible. I took the 11:45 ferry from Victoria to Seattle had to get there early and I wasthere at 10:30 .Not early enough for getting a reasonable good seat. It took 3 hours, and going thru customs in Seattle took over 1 hour and then waiting for a taxi . I walked into my hotel at 4:30. I would suggest you stay over. Victoria is very pretty and worth a trip.
