Seattle - Suites / hotels with Kitchenettes?

We'll have four or five families headed to Seattle - two of the families are larger: 2 parents, 4 kids. Can you recommend nice resonably priced motels with kitchenettes.

Thank you.

We have stayed at the Residence Inn, Lake Union - which is about a mile outside of downtown. Negative is that it is not right downtown. Positive is that it is a nicer Residence Inn, with the usual 1-2 bedroom suites, cooked breakfast included, when we were there evening free wine and beer.

There is a bus to downtown from right outside - but we drove. Right on edge of Lake Union - nice view with seaplanes, houseboats, a few restaurants.

Homewood Suites (a Hilton brand) have kitchenettes, and there is one in Seattle. We haven't stayed there, but we stayed at the one in Chicago and we were very pleased.

Stayed in the Homewood Suites this past September -- they have a pool - located south of downtown but the freeway is easy to catch north/south. Can see Mt Ranier (it's south of the city). Rooms were quite clean - well kepted. During the week - close to Boeing complex so you do have more business folks -- that's okay because they won't get in your way.

There is also a Homewood Suites on Western Avenue, about a mile north of the retail core and one-half mile from Seattle Center (where the Space Needle is).
