Seattle suggestions for Mrs Kal.

Some additional suggestions -
My spa-loving wife much prefers the Ummelina day spa downtown to Nordstrom's - better value (but not cheap) IHHO. www.ummelina.com
For Italian downtown, hard to beat Assaggio - http://www.assaggioseattle.com. Mauro Golmarvi, the owner/chef is a major presence in the restaurant and in the city, and a great guy. I am not as in love with Tom Douglas' places as many (Dahlia Lounge et al) but they're okay for a party, often a bit on the loud side for private conversation. The Pink Door is a good suggestion, but IMO only if you can sit out on the patio, otherwise above-average but far from great Italian food.
In the same area, 94 Stewart - http://www.94stewart.com - is a personal fave, on the opposite end of the noisy/open scale. Located at First and Stewart in the Pike market neighborhood.
For a change of pace and a cool spot for Asian noshing, plus a real glimpse of Seattle's Pacific Rim neighborhood, have a look at the food court at Uwajimaya in the International District. http://www.uwajimaya.com/sea/index.html.
For shopping, sushi, and did I mention shopping, once the Nordstrom effect has waned, a short bus or taxi ride would take them to University Village (near the U of W) where there are all sorts of high-end shops as well as a fun Kaiten sushi place, Blue C - http://www.bluecsushi.com/ - across the way from Irene Fisher and next door to Cole Haan, if you get my meaning. http://www.uvillage.com/
Last I'd mention the Olympic Sculpture park (part of the Seattle Art Museum) and adjacent Myrtle Edwards waterfront park. Get bikes at the Blazing Saddles rental shop on Western Avenue (below the Pike Market) and it's a great ride up to the park and the sculpture garden. http://www.seattleartmuseum.org/visit/OSP/default.asp

absolutely agree on Ummelina over Nordstrom spa. Just went to the nordstrom spa after being a customer of Ummelina for years and won't be going back- Ummelina has much nicer services.
Matt's in the Market would be a fabulous lunch or dinner and also they have nice cocktails. Tavolata is really fun and Le Pichet is a great little french bistro option
We like Vessel for cocktails as well as the bar at Palace is fun and Zig Zag.
I would skip Tillacum village but a ferry ride to Bainbridge and brunch at cafe nola is nice, great bloody mary's! easy 30 minute crossing.
Hotel Max is nice as are the Kimpton Hotels- Alexis and Monaco.
a walk thru the sculpture garden on a sunny day is fun, I think the space needle is really overpriced.

Mrs Kal will have a great time in Seattle. Besides the places already mentioned, I've eaten a couple of times at icon. It is on 5th at (I think) Virginia - anyway, near the Westin, and kitty corner from Macy's and Nordstrom.
If they run out of money and need to bargain shop - the Nordstrom Rack is huge.

Here's the place Georgia the peach is talking about.

It is in Everett, which is north of Seattle.

Billlaayyy,
We know she a peach from Georgia because we can see her fuzzy navel.
And thank you all very much for all the good stuff!
Man...maybe I will go?

Home alone with me and Mr. Romabauer and watching some wildlife with 3 Blind Moose.

Definitely second imaq's suggestion to lunch at Salumi. If they don't bring a bit of meat back, banishment to Salinas is in order! I think Ms. Scarlett should be in town for the July GTG. I'm sure some of the "girls" could find a sleeping bag for her to curl up in for two weeks.
