Seattle Restaurant Suggestions (Around UW)
Hello Fodorites!
DD's second-to-last big event at UW before defending her dissertation is next week, and we're heading out to celebrate the completion of her qualifying exams. I'm looking for mid-range places ($$-$$$) near the campus that accept lunch reservations; we'll save the $$$$ restaurant for when we celebrate, "Dr. Daughter."
DD is not a huge seafood fan; is a carnivore but doesn't care for steak; loves Indian spicy; happy with Asian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian and pretty much every cuisine.
We'll have a car, but would prefer to stay near campus unless there is a restaurant that piques DD's interest a short drive away.
Thank you in advance!

... are all on Roosevelt. A car would be easiest but only a few miles from campus.

It's a global chain, but Din Tai Fung's branch in University Village may offer what you're looking for. It's upmarket, takes reservations, has free parking, and gets rave reviews for its menu of Taiwanese specialties - buns, dumplings, etc.
