Seattle airport hotels
Looking for recommendations for SeaTac hotels. Seems like most of them don’t get very good reviews and are very expensive. Am only spending 1 night so don’t need anything extravagant. Would like airport shuttle.

All the usual suspects are there. When is your trip? The entire area (near SEA or downtown) has expensive to very expensive rates during Alaska cruise season. Cheap places like a RedRoof Inn which might charge $150 at other times of year could be over $400 now.

If it is early September, that is definitely still cruise season. I personally seldom if ever look at reviews of major chain hotels -- they are all pretty much same-o same-o. The only SeaTac hotel I've used is Cedarbrook Lodge which I quite enjoyed. It is generally 'moderately' priced.

Coast Gateway comes up often recommended (over on Trip Advisor Seattle forum). Radisson is walking distance. Don't get too far away from the airport or too cheap because it's a bit of a dodgy area and some are "no tell motels"

Are you leaving a car in the SeaTac area while you are away? Can you get dropped off some way at the airport? Solo trip or family with lots of luggage? I have flown out of SEA on an early morning flight. Yes the motel I stayed at was at the bottom of the barrel (south of the airport). Parked at a facility that gave rides to departure gate which was just north of the airport. Other places I have had some success with Park, sleep, fly. I might consider staying at an airport motel near PDX and leaving at 1AM.
